Technical Manager



We currently have an excellent opportunity for our client to identify a Technical Manager.



Our client is a specialist within the steel manufacturing sector that provides specialist steel equipment to the communications industry. They have been in operation for over 20 years & have a global client base.



To be considered for this opportunity you will need to be a capable mechanical engineer with proven track record in developing processes in a product manufacturing business. We would also expect you to have a good industry background ideally within a a steel manufacture involved in one of the following industries - Telecoms structures, Rail, Highways, lighting and wind energy.



You will have previously led an engineering team (be a proven leader), have strong project management skills. It would be advantageous (not essential) to have come through a technical apprenticeship route.



It is essential to have experience of compliance with and introducing disciplines and structure to comply with quality systems (specifically ISO9001:2008)



It would also be advantageous to have experience in steel products manufacturing & have a familiarity with standards - BS6399, BS8100, Highways standards (series 1300 SHW, BD94/07), EN40.
